Hash #525: High Altitude Hash & Pool-side BBQ La Lagunita on Sunday, February 20th We met at Gerry's place, which is located 2km above sea level and is very nice. Since we were at cloud level, the weather was a bit gloomy; but the sun came out at just the right time! | The group gathers in the hills high above La Lagunita | The dog loved all the attention from these camera-shy kids! | The directions were complicated, so we waited for stragglers. |

| Gerry then described the running & walking routes ... up, up, down, down, up, down.... on on! | ||

| As we rose in altitude, we entered the clouds and got a little wet... which meant not many pictures! | ||

| As we came down, we saw some interesting architecture, nice flowers, & lots of security dogs! | ||

| The weather turned really nice at the last bend. | Back at the house we got a tour while going to the back yard. | Pretty darn nice place... watch out for low-flying planes! |

| The main gathering was under the covered porch area... | ... but many found their way to the fence area... | ... where the luxury of La Lagunita could be viewed. |

| Time for socializing, swimming and discussing governmental issues ... not!!! | ||

| Not many newcomers at this hash... only two "virgins"... as, the child refused to drink the light beer... smart kid! | Getting a picture of a daddy down-down while toting a kid! | |

| We had a good supply of families ... with kids of all ages. | These "youngsters" had the best stories though! | |

| Who knows why these folks had to drink... but I'm sure there was a good reason. | This picture is way too dark... but you can see lots of can bottoms... a good down-down! | Yes, that's what you do with any beer you cannot drink; over the head of the person behind you! |

| Time to exchange the Hash Hat... but who should get it? | At the last second Cheryl decides to hand it off to Ulf... | ...
and he joins her for a "hat down-down". |

| But honey, I also got us some beers... oh well ... cheers! | The circle is ended and the women rush the coolers.... | ... while the guys patiently queue for their turn at a cold one! |

| Their
dog was pretty cute, but I don't think he was as smart as they said... A real
hash dog would have drunk the beer before asking his owner for permission.
He did get some treats though, for acting nicely throughout the day, and for helping to entertain the kids. |

| Hey is anyone else going to go for a swim? | Hey, how about him? No? | Well
how about Jay? The kids decide... YES! |
| He almost can hold them all off... ... but like a pack of hyenas, the kids gang up and prevail... ... and he finds out that "solar heating" at this elevation doesn't warm the water very much! |
