Hash #526 - Heavenly Hash - an "out-of-this-world" opportunity for FREE!    Mar 31, 2005, 08:38

I have an offer that will "knock your socks off"!

How would you like to join me for a way outta-town hash in California, at a resort called Heavenly Valley?

I visited Lake Tahoe last fall and went to Heavenly on a sales tour.  As part of a promotion, they had a drawing and I filled out a form.  I had forgotten about it until my father contacted me on Monday.

It seems that I won the 2nd Prize ... which is a free trip for me and 24 friends to their resort over the weekend of April 9th!

I was skeptical at first, because you hear about scams like this all the time.  I had my dad call Heavenly and talk to the Sales Manager; he also scanned the details and e-mailed them to me.  I am happy to report that this deal is legitimate and I have already made my bookings.  Since the resort caters to international visitors, there are no restrictions about being US citizens or residing in the US.

At first I thought about only opening this offer up to people from Caracas, but I have a few folks interested from other parts of the world... so no matter where you live, let me know if you would like to join us!  If more than 20 people are interested, then we may have to make a contest... "what would you be willing to do in the mountain-top jacuzzi?".

 The following are the details:

- Flights will be totally free from Caracas... but we all have to depart/return on the same flights; through Houston to Reno, Nevada.  For people from other destinations, you have a free booking with a "One World" airline member, but you will have to pay any taxes due.

- Lodging at the hotel will also be free.  Instead of the "luxury" tower, I selected the "grand" tower which is all inclusive; no Polar though, sorry!

- Transportation should be included, as they have free shuttles from the airport.  I will check.  Most workers in Tahoe speak Spanish, so there should be no language barrier!

- All sports equipment is also included, but if you are an expert skier and don't want to use skiis that have dents, then bring you own!

The only bad part is that you have to be over 18 to go; sorry parents, you must leave the brats behind!

I need to know right way if you are interested...

...in fact, they want the reservation completed by tomorrow...

... which is Friday, April 1st....

... which is also know as ....

...............April Fool's Day !!!!!

I am sorry if I got your expectations up... but stay tuned for details about this weekend's hash... and I still would be interested in:  "what would you be willing to do in the mountain-top jacuzzi"?
