Hash #548 - 'Noggie - Pommie' Weekend Hash in Chirimena

Location: Chirimena (about 90kms, 
or 2-3 hours drive, east of Caracas)

Note: This is a weekend hash & we will be joined by members of the Anaco HHH. Hopefully this co-hash will be the first of many between us.  Since the posadas are somewhat expensive, this event is scheduled for one night; with the recommendation of driving there early on Saturday and returning mid-day on Sunday.  There will be some of us who will make a long weekend of this, so come for longer if you can!  Printable Page
 

Host Posada: Casa de Playa will be the HQ for meeting everyone and for the hash 'circle-up' and 'down-down' venues. The owners are friendly and the food is home-made; plan on a Saturday dinner there with everyone.


The owner, Cesar, can arrange horseriding, boat hire, and transport to more secluded beaches (via overlander type vehicle).

Chirimena has a nice beach area and is not too crowded; chairs and shades will be available for hire. There is a beach-side bar for refreshments and vendors walking along the beach selling ice-cream, etc.

 
Directions: From Caracas, go east on the autopista to Higerote.  From there drive north following the sign-posted instructions for Carenero-Chirimena. When you enter Chirimena, take the road to the right via Urb. Los Corales, which leads to posada Casa de Playa.

If you need a ride, please pre-coordinate with other hashers.  We might suggest leaving from the Rincon at 6-8am on Saturday for those who are unsure of the route and want to ride in a caravan... this part of the itinerary is up to you!

Hash Insight:  On Saturday we will be meeting at 3.30pm for a 4.00pm start. The hash will not be real buggy friendly, as it is a combination of dirt roads and beaches.  On Sunday, the Anaco HHH members are planning a 'Hangover Hash' for us.

Costs:  The charge for drinks & snacks 
on the beach, and during the hashes, is:
= 20kBs for adult males
= 10kBs for adult females
=   5kBs for children (6-17)
