Caracas Hash Annual Christmas Party

Time: 6:00pm (please show up on time to keep from disrupting activities, see 'special items' below)

Location: Residence Quinta Ma-Pa on Calle Roraima in Valle Arriba. Click here for a printable map.

Directions:  From the "main drag" in Las Mercedes, go south from the Tolon Shopping Centre.  Take the first left, Calle Roraima... it is a hairpin turn that will take you up a slight hill. Quinta Ma-Pa will be the first house on the left side of the street as you round the curve. 

Event Insight:  The objective of this event is to celebrate the festive season with our fellow Hashers and their children. 

The schedule will include, social hour, dinner, gift-exchange and dancing. The only real exercise planned for this party is to "eat, drink & be merry" ... so, dress up a bit and leave the sports clothes at home!

It is essential to confirm attendance (RSVP) in advance so we can plan the meal and prepare sufficient amounts.


We plan to feed the confirmed attendees in the first-sitting.  If there is any food left, then we shall 'throw the scraps' to those who didn't confirm.  Remember Hashers, this is a volunteer group, not a 'professional event company'.  The volunteers work very hard to make every Hash successful. Help us make the 2005 Caracas Hash Christmas party a special evening by confirming in advance.

Also note that this Xmas party is only open to those who have previously hashed with the Caracas HHH; this applies to kids as well as adults.  Visitors and virgins are invited to join us at the next scheduled hash run/walk on Sunday, Dec 11.
Special Items:

- Food: Iain is coordinating the food.
We need people to bring a variety of food dishes to share; please see the food list to see what is needed. Once you figure out what dish(es) you would like to prepare, call Iain at 0412-630-6249.

- Gifts: We ask that everyone (including children) bring a nicely wrapped gift to exchange with fellow hashers; those who don't bring a gift will not participate in this part of the program.

Each gift should be: new, of a pleasant nature, and cost 25-30kBs. Please place a tag on the gift with your name and if the gift is for boy/girl/man/women. A recommendation is to bring a gift that you wouldn't mind getting yourself... as with the probable exchange method, if the person who gets your gift doesn't like it, you may end up with your own gift!

- Time: We have set the start time at 6:00pm, so we can complete dinner in time to have a relaxing gift exchange followed by some dancing. For that reason, the plan is to shut the front gates at 7:00pm! 

We hope everyone realizes how difficult it is to plan & execute an event like this.  If people show up on time, there should be no problems or disruptions.

Costs: The CHHH will provide the meat entrees, as well as all drinks (beer, hard liquor, soft drinks and water).  Those individuals who bring a dish will get a discount of 10kBs against the charges:

= 20kBs for adult males
= 15kBs for adult females
=   5kBs for children (10-18)
