Hash #557 - Hash Lite - The Inaugural Run

We would like to announce the inaugural 'Hash Lite' as the final event for our week of celebrating run #555.  Many people have expressed an interest in taking advantage of the Cota Mil since it is closed to car traffic until 1pm on Sundays; so here is your chance!  We will have secure access to about 10km of highway... for running, walking, blading or biking.  If the result of this event is positive, we can count on many more in the future.

Note: Upon cleaning up after Hash #555, we found a pair or reading glasses that were left behind, as well as a pair of underwear (just kidding).   If the owner of the glasses is still able to read this note, and wishes to reclaim them, just let me know the manufacturer and I can get them to you.  You will owe he group a 'down-down' for this error!

Host:  Jay
Date:  Sunday, February 19th
Time: 10:00am for a 10:30am start
Location: Ave Mohedano in La Castellana (2 blocks from an entrance to the Cota Mil)

Directions:
These directions assume you are starting in La Castellana, near the McDonalds and the circle know as Plaza Isabel La Catolica (look for the dotted line on the map below).   From there, continue up towards the Avila on Ave Eugenio Mendoza (also called Ppal de La Castellana). At any of the next three stop lights, take a left and then a right; you will then be on Ave Mohedano.  Jay will have their Jeep  (license 69-08CD) parked near the top of this road; look for a pink CHHH sticker and him in a chair with a beer.  There should be only a few cars parked on this safe residential street, so feel free to park anywhere in the area.

Hash Insight: This flexible hash will include runners, walkers, bladers and bicyclists.  We will meet at the appointed place and then let you pick your own route; basically head either east or west for 30 minutes and then turn around.  The only requirement is that you don't end up back at the car until after an hour or so.  At that time the coolers will be opened and refreshments & snacks will be made available.  There is a park nearby for bathroom & changing facilities; we may have the drinks there too... unless a kind 'hasher' offers up their residence..??

Costs:  Normal "Non-Food Hash" charge:
= 10kBs for
adult males
=   5kBs for adult females
=   0kBs for children
