The route from Las Mercedes takes you thru La Trinidad and then past Baruta & Piedra Azul to get to El Placer.

From Las Mercedes, take Autopista Prados Del Este to La Trinidad. At the big intersection after the tunnel, take a right towards Baruta and Piedra Azul; do not go left towards Proctor & Gamble and El Hatillo.  

Go straight at the next light and continue on the carretera the entire way.  After passing Baruta and Piedra Azul, you will begin seeing signs for El Placer.  You will go up a very long hill and pass a garden area called Jesus David.   Near the top of the hill you will see some small signs for C.C. El Placer; take a right to El Placer.  
If you come to the entrance for Simon Bolivar University, you went 200 meters too far... turn around and go back.  

Refer to map below: When you take a right off the carretera to El Placer, go through the gate which leads straight ahead.  If the guards question you, just say you are going to the Centro Commercial. Then go up the hill and take the second right; proceed 100m to the little park where we will meet up.
